Dominican Republic Autopsy & Post-Mortem Report Service
Professional assistance obtaining autopsies/post-mortem reports of non-Dominicans who have died in the Dominican Republic
Get Your Loved One's Dominican Autopsy Report
We specialize in helping international families obtain official autopsy/post-mortem reports from Dominican Republic authorities. Our experienced team navigates the complex bureaucratic process through the Fiscal's office, ensuring maximum success rates for non-violent death cases.
Service: US$195 search fee + US$295 if successful Process typically takes several months due to official procedures

If you require a copy of an autopsy report (also called a post-mortem report) of a family member or close friend who died in the Dominican Republic, we can help.
Note: If you simply need to know the cause of death, consider that many (but not all) death certificates mention this information. A death certificate may be quicker and less expensive to obtain than a full autopsy report. Our Dominican death certificate service can help with that.
Important Timeframe Information
The process typically takes several months from start to completion. One of the main reasons for these delays is that even months after death, the autopsy report often hasn't been typed up and signed by the medical examiner. We must wait for official completion before obtaining your copy.
How It Works
In the Dominican Republic, autopsies are conducted by INACIF (National Forensics Institute), but we obtain reports through the Fiscal's office (prosecutor's office) in the jurisdiction where death occurred. These reports aren't public documents, requiring specialized assistance.
We can usually obtain reports for non-violent deaths (not suicide, car accidents etc), though it requires time and patience.
No guarantee of success as these aren't public records, but we usually succeed for our clients.
Required Documentation
We must present the following to the Fiscal's office:
- Death certificate (we can obtain if needed)
- Photo-ID of deceased (passport/license copy)
- Photo-ID/documentation of a family member with same surname as the deceased) to show the Fiscal's office we're acting on family's behalf
