Your Search Process Step-by-Step

Within 24 Hours: We'll send you an automatic email confirmation of your search request and payment. We may be back to you with a request for further details.

Within 1-7 Days: We locate your marriage record in the Dominican civil registry books and ask the relevant registry office to digitise, approve and validate it, then we email you a draft copy for verification. Some registry offices are quicker than others, sometimes we have to send clerks to chase them up.

Review & Confirm: We'll send you a draft print-out of your Dominican marriage record. This is not a certificate, it's just a draft to give you the opportunity to check it for spelling errors or other incorrect data. We'll try our best to get any errors corrected, however the regulations are quite strict, and basically if the handwritten marriage entry that you signed on your wedding day contains the mistake/s, then corrections can only be made via an official process called an administrative correction which takes time and costs more.

Stage 2 Payment: Once you approve the draft, you can click on our certificate order link for you to choose how many certificates you need, whether or not you'd also like an English translation, and you can also choose from one of two shipping options.

Certificate Production: We obtain the official long-form certificate, have it legalized by the Dominican Central Electoral Board, and apostilled by the Foreign Ministry. Some countries - but generally not English-speaking countries - require additional consular authentications by their embassy/consulate in the Dominican Republic. We can advise on this.

International Delivery: Your apostilled certificate ships via certified international mail.
